This simple and fun activity kept the kids engaged for hours!  We blew up balloons and covered them with newspaper strips dipped in papier-mâché paste. After letting them dry overnight, we painted our favorite emoji faces on them with tempura paint and allowed that to dry. With a pin, we then popped the balloon inside the papier-mâché and cut a small hole to fill them with candy.  We strung yarn through the hole to create a loop so we could hang them from a tree and break them open!
