Cocoa Powder
Cocoa powder is a versatile and rich ingredient made by grinding cocoa beans into a fine powder after removing most of the cocoa butter. It comes in two main types: natural and Dutch-processed. Natural cocoa powder has a bold, slightly acidic flavor, while Dutch-processed cocoa is treated with an alkaline solution to create a milder taste and darker color. Both types are commonly used in baking, desserts, and beverages, adding depth and a robust chocolate flavor to recipes. Packed with antioxidants, cocoa powder is not only a favorite for its taste but also appreciated for its potential health benefits.
